The work we do is challenging, rewarding and for many leaders, life-changing. We believe you’ll feel the way we do…it will be the most fulfilling, important work of your business career.

Our Programs focus on helping Leaders become more self-aware, aware of their impact on others, and ‘what’s wanting to happen.’ Our Programs are designed to give them the tools to have an increasingly positive impact on employee engagement, team performance, safety, profitability and innovation. They learn to become leaders, not just managers.

Participants in our group-based programs learn through experiential exercises, practices that focus on awareness, impact of ego, and leadership skills and tools. It’s personal, human and…no AI here!

At T3, our work focuses on helping leaders and organizations uncover their authentic, most compelling selves—and lead from a place of awareness, real confidence, and authenticity.

Three Tall Trees facilitates Individual and Group Leadership Development, Workplace Connection. Organizational Culture Change and creating Exceptional Customer Experiences through an emphasis on Awareness, Authenticity and Alignment.

Awareness-Based Authentic Leadership Coaching

Coaching, and especially Awareness-based Authentic Leadership Coaching, can be an extremely effective way to help Leaders (and we believe EVERYONE has the capacity to lead) to:

• Become more self-aware, and reduce the impact of ego.

• Learn how to see, hear, value, develop, and engage employees.

• Learn the difference between management and leadership, and how to CHOOSE to lead.

• Become aware of their personal values, and lead from that place.

• Become aware of their Most Compelling Self, and bring that ‘way of being’ to their work MUCH more frequently.

• Build innovative, collaborative and high-performing teams.

Building a unique, powerful, human-centered culture can take years. But bringing higher levels of connection, trust and collaboration can happen far more quickly. Data and research have shown that employees want to be seen, heard, and valued.

T3’s Connected Workplace Program is a 3-day Large Group  (40-50 employees) Program that teaches Connecting Skills, including bringing attention and intention to:

• Presence. Being fully present is critical to connecting.

Curiosity. Ask questions. Eliminate assumptions. Be curious, not judgmental.

Listening. Listen to understand. Notice what’s being said, and the emotion behind it.

Being Open/Vulnerable. How to share…you. Without oversharing.

Appreciation. Showing appreciation for your co-workers makes a workplace warmer, and more welcoming

Connected Workspace

Leadership Development Programs

Programs are typically seven 2-3 day retreats, held off-site, in a retreat center or hotel conference facility (we are open to longer programs—up to a week). The connection, trust and bonding that comes from overnight retreats has proven invaluable. Our approach focuses on having a long-term, positive organizational impact:

• Engaging employees in a deeper, more meaningful way

• Building high-functioning, innovative teams

• Developing and stretching people into their leadership

• Having FUN

• Implementing organization-wide initiatives as a group

Participants in our group-based programs learn through experiential exercises, practices that focus on awareness, and the impact of one's ego, and leadership skills and tools, including:

• Communication

• Effective Difficult/Crucial Conversations

• Listening to Understand

• Accountability (Self)

• Curiosity

• Collaboration

• Feedback

• Building Trust

• Developing People and Delegating

• Creating High-Performing Teams

We support our leadership programs with targeted individual coaching, helping participants move past blocks and more fully embrace their natural, authentic leadership, as well as provide them with skills and tools that directly impact their ability to engage and motivate employees. We take a positive, inclusive, and challenging approach to create long-term, real Organizational change. Developing a critical mass of engagement- and development-oriented leaders is the key to creating organizational excellence.

The group approach gives each leader a high level of support—they interact with the people in their group at work, adding to their learning.

Cultural Alignment

Aligning employees to the following four principles is critical to an organization’s success:

• Purpose. Why the organization exists, beyond money.

• Vision. Where the organization is going.

• Values. What the organization deeply believes in.

• Agreements. What employees collectively agree upon.

The more real these cultural 'ways of being' are, the more aligned the organization will be. Alignment creates flow and productivity, clarity and understanding. Employees who know what is expected of them, where the organization is headed, and the deeper meaning of their work, come to work energized and inspired. Aligning with a strong, clear corporate culture gives employees a path forward, common goals, and a shared meaning that goes way beyond a paycheck.

Simplicity. Keeping it simple, real and actionable is the key to building a strong, unique, culture. Systems and processes should support culture—not tear it down or make it irrelevant. Employees need clarity and understanding on what the organization believes is important, and where the organization is going, and how they can help it get there. A 'flavor of the month' approach or too many initiatives, are often confusing, and can, in our experience, create more cynicism than forward momentum.

Customer Experience

Great, no…EXCEPTIONAL customer experiences are incredibly rare. Which is why they’re so memorable, and often, shareable.

Raving Fans SHARE Great Experiences!

More than 30 years ago, I went to a restaurant with the two other members of our fledgling ad agency. The Little Inn at Washington is in Berryville, a tiny town maybe 45 miles West of Washington, DC. I still remember the magic of that evening.

T3 uses The Kano Model, to help our client partners bring their unique culture/workplace to the customer experiences they create, and to help the create awesome, surprising ‘raving fan’ customer experiences.

Here’s a link to Folding Burritos (think what happens if your burrito isn't 'folded' properly...you're wearing it!) a website that explains the Kano Model, and the incredible advantages organizations that reside in the Model's 'upper right quadrant' enjoy over competitors.

T3 works with organizations to help them move toward the Model's upper right quadrant, and create raving fans.

Leaders Who Learn HOW to Lead With Awareness, Authenticity and EQ Can Connect With, and Engage, Their Employees.

We’re out to change America’s workplaces…by helping leaders learn how to lead from their aware, brilliant and authentic selves.

Many people in leadership positions simply have no idea HOW to lead…or even if they are leading! They often default to management—getting stuff done, problem-solving, messing around with systems and processes, and often, micromanaging. They do the best they can with what they have, and often, it’s ineffective at best, and far too often, toxic to their employees. We've found that there’s lots of confusion around what it means to be a leader, and how to lead in a positive, affirming way is even more challenging.

Toxic masculinity is often the impetus, the guiding force for leadership: make others wrong, blame anyone you can, take credit, even if you had nothing to do with it, and do it all from a place of zero self-awareness. AND, let your outsized, out-of-control ego control your behavior, your decisions, your life and every aspect of your leadership.

Most employees don’t leave their jobs because they want more money. They move on because they simply can’t stand working for their boss or stepping into a dehumanizing culture day-after-day.

And…it’s often not the boss’s fault. They simply have no idea HOW to lead, because they themselves have received little to no effective Leadership Development. This is especially true when a leader is elevated to his or her post, based on being 'good' at their job--a fast welder or organized administrative assistant—are just two examples.

Research indicates that ‘bad bosses’ are a primary reason employees quit their jobs. A study by Gallup Research found that 75% of workers who voluntarily leave their jobs do so because of their bosses. While other factors, like salary, benefits, and job satisfaction also play a role, the quality of leadership significantly impacts employee retention.

Curious? Let’s Connect!

A website can only tell a sliver of the whole story. The possibilities for you and your organization are best explored in conversation. So...let's talk!

When an organization puts the focus squarely on profit and growth, it can become a limiting approach. Exceptional companies put their people, and their values, at the center of their business. Profit and growth are the outcome of caring for your people and the space your organization works in. Three Tall Trees can help guide your organization to make its people the path to success. AND, have more fun...and fulfillment!

On that note, we believe there's not nearly enough FUN happening in the world of corporate America.

Far too few frisbees are flying around America's office complexes and outdoor spaces.

We're out to change that, too! Give us a call or drop us a line.

We'll Send You the Coolest Frisbee Ever!
